No Skating @ Centennial Arena Afternoon of Nov 14/19

NOTE!  Centennial Arena Ice is Cancelled TONIGHT - Nov 14/19 * ALL PROGRAMS*

Due to unforeseen Mechanical Problems with the Facility WRSSSC has been notified that our ice is cancelled for all Programs tonight.  Star Academy, CanSkate, Intermediate Comp. and Senior.

All programs for Friday at South Surrey Arena are not interrupted so if you skate Friday a.m. or Friday p.m. at South Surrey we will see you there for your regular registered program.

Fall/Winter Season End Dates Reminders

The Fall/Winter Season for CanSkate & STAR Academy concludes with the Ice Show on Saturday March 9th. There is no more skating for CanSkate & STAR Academy until the Spring Season begins.

The Fall/Winter Season for STARSkate concludes on Friday March 15th. Regular STARSkate sessions will run the week after the Ice Show. In addition, the following STARSkate sessions are available the week of March 11th (all at Centennial Arena):

Younger Junior - Monday 4:45 - 5:00 pm

Older Junior - Tuesday 5:15 - 6:00 pm

Intermediate - Wednesday 4:00 - 4:45 pm

Senior - Tuesday & Thursday 3:15 - 4:00 pm

In addition, all skaters registered in the STAR 1-4 Competition in Burnaby on March 16 & 17 are expected to attend the Competition Simulation on Friday March 15th from 4:00 - 4:45 pm.

There is no additional cost. If you plan to attend any of these additional sessions, please confirm with Coach Julie Dunlop, so that appropriate lessons and groups can be scheduled.

Please be advised that due to continued excessive snowfall & our concerns for the safety of our skaters, parents & coaches:

ALL SKATING SESSIONS ARE CANCELLED 

Monday February 11 & Tuesday February 12

Office Hours are also cancelled on Monday February 11th.

We will re-assess Tuesday afternoon regarding Wednesday morning skating sessions. Check back here and our Facebook page for updates.

  1. Please check with STARSkate Coach Julie Dunlop (starskate@wrsssc.com) before registering for any competition. Julie will determine whether the competition is a good fit for a skater’s stage of development, and advise the appropriate level a skater should register in.
