VOLUNTEER Fee (applies to fall/winter season only)
WRSSSC is a non-profit club that relies on our Volunteer Board of Directors & it’s Members!
We have reinstated the VOLUNTEERING Fee for 2023-2024 Skating Season [Sept 2023 to Aug 2024]. This fee is charged PER FAMILY at the beginning of the year, and then you will have multiple opportunities to volunteer throughout the year, to “work off” this fee.
If you fulfill this requirement, then at the end of the year you can choose to roll the fee over to the next skating year or have the fee refunded. If you simply don’t have the time to be able to volunteer, you can pay the fee and leave it at that. Various Volunteer opportunities will be posted in Uplifter soon.

The volunteer requirement for each year will be posted and must be satisfied by the end of one skating season [Sept to August].
WRSSSC Board members and Adult Skaters are exempt from the volunteer fee requirement.
STARSkate Volunteering
A $250 volunteer fee is mandatory for each STARSkate family and must be paid with the Fall/Winter registration each year. We are asking each STARSkate family to volunteer 12 times/credits throughout the skating year.
STAR Academy Volunteering
A $100 volunteer fee is mandatory for each STAR Academy family and must be paid with the Fall/Winter registration each year. We are asking each STAR Academy family to volunteer 5 credits throughout the skating year.
How to sign up to Volunteer:
Login to your account via our website - in Uplifter - 'Add volunteer position' on the main page - Check this page on a regular basis as an email won't necessarily be sent out each time a new position is added. If nothing appears under the volunteer tab, then there are no open positions at that time.
Thank you to those who have volunteered in the past and to some who have already completed their required hours.
Please remember to allow others the chance to also volunteer and complete their hours.

For those who already completed some hours these will be visible under the volunteer tab via your account. Once in this tab please remember to filter positions by - ‘show completed positions only’ AND ‘show uncompleted positions only’
