If you attempt to register on Aug 18th and you were not a SUMMER Skating Family… the website will block you from being able to register. Only Spring STAR Academy & Spring STARSkaters are permitted to register on August 18th. NOT Spring CanSkaters.

CANSKATERS… Ideally Skating twice a week, 1 time per week permitted, however you will progress slower through the program.

You MUST be INVITED (or already be Skating in STAR Academy) in order to register in STAR Academy sessions.

What is a Program Assistant (PA)?

PA’s Assist our Skate Canada Coaches in delivering our CanSkate Program by assisting with set up and clean up, helping skaters on and off the ice, demonstrating, supervising & reinforcing learned skills as well as being a role model for young skaters.

Our Program Assistant (PA) Program is open to STARSkaters aged 10 and up in STAR 2 and above, who have been INVITED by the Director of our CanSkate Program, Caroline MacKeen.

If you already know that you would like to help - you can sign up to become a Program Assistant - when you are registering for your Fall-Winter Season.

Ideally looking for 5- PA’s per CanSkate session with a committment of Sept to Dec and/or Jan to March.

  • Tues 5:45-6:30pm - Sept to Dec and/or Jan to Mar @ Centennial Arena

  • Tues 6:30-7:15pm - Sept to Dec and/or Jan to Mar @ Centennial Arena

  • Thurs 5:45-6:30pm - Sept to Dec and/or Jan to Mar @ Centennial Arena

  • Thurs 6:30-7:15pm - Sept to Dec and/or Jan to Mar @ Centennial Arena
